Yeah, I recently listened to an investigative piece on Democracy Now that talked about how the source that most bottled water companies was actually LESS SAFE than regular tap water...and that there were tons of issues arising from bottling the water, etc. Crazy.
Here in California, any drinkable purchase that involves a recyclable plastic, glass, or aluminum container is taxed with a CRV or California Refund Value. Basically you pay up front the amount you would get back if you took it to the recycling plant. The money goes into recycling technologies and expanding recycling capacities which in turn means...the market can continue to benefit from the extremely successful sale of bottled water which in turn helps the economy which in turn helps the community.
i'm kind of addicted to media, all of the arts, religion, culture, traveling, politics, communication, music, academia, and breathing. Sometimes i talk about them here. Mostly i just post stuff i think is cool. The title our.eclectic.world is an excuse to leave my blog unfocused and post whatever i want. It kind of makes my blog cool. It kind of makes it suck. Oh, i also am trying to make films and was in a rap group for ten years.
